I need to get my 270c repaired/replaced. Anyone know where I can find a
Level 2 service center for Verizon in the SF Bay Area?

    TIA,
    Dave

ps. I called *611 and talked to two CSRs both of whom seem pretty clueless.
I thought I'd get a quicker answer by posting to this newsgroup instead.

Not sure, but the store near Costo on Rengstorff may be one. They were the
only store that could flash the upgraded firmware on the 270C. But honestly,
I think it'll have to go back to Motorola. The 270C was only sold in
California very briefly, and I doubt if the techs know much about it.

Thanks. That's pretty close to where I live. I'll give it a try.

Actually, I was hoping they might have a stock of 270c's for "express
exchange" so I don't need to wait for 2 weeks for it to come back from
Motorola. I guess that's out of the question then?

    OH BOY.

Good luck. Nope - I tried EVERY Verizon store to get the firmware
upgraded in the 270c. Now, 2 months later, I FINALLY have my phone and
    Bluetooth working.

Motorola's going to be your only option, unfortunately. I called as
far north as San Leandro, as far South as ... umm.. Morgan Hill.

Just make sure you enclose a letter with big bold letters explaining
your problem, proof of warranty, and call every other day to confirm
    reciept.

    See my numerous threads. :)
