Does anyone know the URL for AOL IM wap service. The idea of using
text messaging to do AIM is a little crazy given that Verizon charges
for each message (meaning a charge even to log in!!). Its not on the
menus. Its not in the FAQs. The FAQs all say go to the AOL IM menu
option. There isn't one, since Verizon apparently wants you to use
text messaging and pay for it.

Hmmm. Not in a position to look it up at the moment, but I used this service
for a while when I first got my smart phone. You send a numeric code to the
system and it activates IM. Another code displays the buddies on-line. A
    third code turns off IM.

IM is on at all times, when you activate the service. You can see it as
buddies come and go. Caustion: It is distracting--especially when driving!
    I eventually turned it off.
