ATT vs. Verizon

Discussion in 'alt.cellular.verizon' started by Brian Grigg, Jun 16, 2004.

My plan with AT&T expired and I'm looking to renew but was wondering if I
should switch to Verizon as I've heard they're coverage is much better. But
I'm not impressed with the phones they have available. I'm also thinking of
getting a Smart or PDA phone and AT&T just announced the Audiovox PPC4100,
but I was reading that Verizon will be carrying the Audiovox PPC 5050
although Verizon hasn't and won't make any announcement on it yet.

So I was wondering how people like Verizon, and if anyone has any thoughts
    on either of the Audiovox's?

    tia - Brian

Cant help you on the AudioVox choice, but to compare Verizon to AT&T (in
california) is like comparing SHIT to FOOD.
AT&T sucks! their TDMA system is a joke, their GSM system is WAY too small
to provide any reliable coverage and their biz practices are just plain
shitty. Personally speaking *I* wouldnt even consider a ***FREE*** AT&T
phone if it was offered to me. Out of frustration I would probably toss it
under the rear wheels of a passing bus.
I currently have a LG VX-6000, a Audiovox "Thera" and a PC-5220 Data card on
Verizon and very happy with all of them.
I did have AT&T for a little over one year, they can kiss my ass.
