    In their defense ....

If you can't make your calls what's the point of getting the rest of
    it right?

VZW absolutely DOES have the best network.

It's everything else that frustrates me.
    - Lack of certain features that should be standard (Bluetooth)
    - Only reasonable customer service. (Although after dealing with
competitors it could be a lot worse)
    - CDMA. (IF they were GSM I wouldn't need a second phone to travel to
    Asia)

I see our troll is still active...well, let's try to feed him here (I
    know I shouldn't).

Most of us on this newsgroup speak with our own PERSONAL experience in
mind. My own personal experience with VZW has been nothing less than
wonderful. My phone works nearly everywhere, including places I would
never expect. The service price is reasonable to me, and I've never
had anything less than great experience with VZW's customer service,
either on the phone, or in person at the local store. In fact, it's
been so good, it's something I've never experienced in any other
    service company!

Is my experience what everyone else will see? Of course not. VZW is
a huge company, and huge companies mean much more chance for problems
and error. The original poster, while a bit "amped up", likely has
good reason not to be favorably inclined towards VZW or his experience
with it. I hope he finds another cell phone company that suits his
    needs.

I'm not stupid enough to suggest that VZW is the "be all, end all"
cell phone company...it just works for ME. Folks who want all the
latest bells and whistles with phones are probably better off with
Sprint. People looking for cheap plans with more minutes are probably
better off with T-Mobile. VZW happens to fit MY set of needs.

To project the attitude - "I don't know why these lunkheads say they
like VZW, it sucks and they screw all their customers" - is absolutely
ridiculous. You're clearly here to blow off some steam in your life
and "have a little fun"...you're obviously not here as an objective
    party.

better off with T-Mobile. VZW happens to fit MY set of needs.

To project the attitude - "I don't know why these lunkheads say they
like VZW, it sucks and they screw all their customers" - is absolutely
ridiculous. You're clearly here to blow off some steam in your life
and "have a little fun"...you're obviously not here as an objective
    party.
