My girlfriend has an account with verizon wireless and I wonder if she =
can check her usage on the verizon web site? I did a google search and =
didn't come up with anything definitive. Thanks!

It may depend on your individual market, but here in the northest
(former Bell Atlantic Mobile territory), you certainly can check
    minutes online at verizonwireless.com.

Once you use the login command, a current account information screen
comes up. On the right side, there's an item that says, "Check used
minutes & balance since your last bill." Click on it, and there you
go. If you have a family share plan, you can check the minutes on each
    of the phones; very handy.

She can also dial #646 Send from her mobile phone, and a text message
(free) will be sent with that same information right to her phone.

    Hope that helps.

    For Minutes it's #MIN for Balance it's #BAL

or if you forget the (#MIN and #BAL) call *611 and pick them off the menu

That works ok unless you're on the Verizon 'one bill' like I am. I have the
landline and cell bills in one bill. So far they haven't figured out how to
get that working on the web. The #646 works though, but it seldom gives me
my balance, only the minutes used.

That's probably because #646 = #MIN....If you want the balance, do #BAL (or
#225). Amazingly enough, that like it's name, gives the balance.

Oddly enough I get both minutes and balance when I call both of these numbers

If you have text messaging enabled, you should get them as a (free) text
message also. (Handy for people like me with CRS)

Yep. The text messages from both numbers send Usage and Balance

Sure Peter Pan (what a name, are you a fairy or what?).

Either one gives me the same thing actually.... My minutes used, no balance!
And when I try to sign onto the web, it says my information doesn't match! I
called them about it and the customer service people said it was because I
was on the 'one bill' plan, where I get one bill with both Verizon and
Verizon Wireless on the same bill...

So go work your 'magic' on someone else!

    Sincerely, Bob

I really do wish that you people would learn to edit out the extraneous
portions of the previous message! It makes YOUR part that much more
    prominent!

Anyhow, like I have gotten my balance maybe 2-3 times since they've been
sending those free text messages. And I get exactly the same thing whether
    or not I use #225 or #646..

So go find Tinker Bell and play with her!

Like I've said before, unless you're on the 'one bill' plan.... Then it
    won't recognize you at all!
