    I am so sick of hearing that. It was kind of interesting in the =
    beginning, but now they're just pushing things way too far. And you know =
    they're going to keep using it for a long, long, long time. It's going =
    to be like that Energizer bunny "Keeps going, and going, and going...". =
    They were driving people crazy with that after the first year or two, =
    and they kept using it for well over a decade. I wonder if Verizon and =
    Energizer is somehow related.

    I see no problem if they keep it creative. The fun part of the
    Energizer commercials in the beginning was that the bunny would be
    started in his own commercial, but subsequently cross through other
    commercials because it was still "going and going." It was funny to
    see a headache or car commercial and suddenly the EB would cross the
    set, throwing the actors off.
    The "Can you hear me now?" ads have been okay in the respect (they
    sometimes have him the set of the show the ad is running during, like
    on Angel), which is sometimes clever. I haven't burned out on them
    yet.

    Cellular phones use batteries.

    Imagine how your service would be if we turned the money wasted on
    that little bastard with the glasses into CELL TOWERS in your
    town.....

    Why's he wearin' that stupid jacket in the full sunshine when the kids
    on the swings are in shorts and tops? Is he on heavy drugs and they
    don't want the camera picking up the tracks on his arms?....(c;

    3600 planes with transponders are burning 8-10 million
    gallons of kerosene per hour over the USA. R-12 car air
    conditioners are responsible for the ozone hole, right?

    Maybe its hiding the repeater on his back- that would explain the
    difference between reality and the commercials

    "Can you hear me now" guy showed up in a pro-Sprint commercial not too
    long ago- without his slogan.

    If you ever watch the History Channel, you can tell VZW is a major sponsor.
    I would love the money they get for those commercials. or they can just
    build me a cell tower next to my house. Their choice

    Ha ha.....You may be right! He probably doesn't need a repeater
    because they only make commercials in the shadow of towers...(c;

    I want to see the commercial where SOMEONE ANSWERS HIS PTT
    transmission! They should show someone answering him, "Yes, we hear
    you." But, after all, it's only a 30 second commercial......(c;

    I'm telling you... they could really dress these commercials up. This
    guy in the commercial is no geek... he's a hottie in disguise. Make
    him wear a towel when he's testing in the sauna; put him in a swimsuit
    at the beach; jeans, loose t-shirt and flipflops at the mall... the
    possibilities are endless.

    I'm not tired of the character, just his drab, dull wardrobe. He's a
    sure candidate for the Fab Five on Queer Eye for the Straight Guy.
