Case for the e815?

Just got the e815 and unfortunately it doesn't quite fit in the generic
radio shack case I kept the VX4500 in. This is a holster type case with a
magnetic flap. I originally got it because the 4500 was always flipping
open when I used the standard flip type leather case. I'd like to find a
holster for the 815, but please recommend any case that you feel works well.

Check your local big mall. There should be a couple of kiosks with that stuff.

I like the case Verizon sells for it. It fits great and I like the soft lamb
    skin leather.
It seems cushiony, so if dropped, it is well protected.

I use the bottom of the Verizon case. I found it to be true that the phone
easily came open when the top of the case was on it (you know--when you
didn't want it to come open :). I didn't like the body glove case because
it covered some of the buttons and I didn't think the clip was very secure
(but I fastened it to my jeans' pocket rather than a belt). I tried the
full cover case (one piece) from a mall kiosk, and most people would
probably have liked it, but all in all I prefer simply using the bottom half
    of the Verizon case.

I believe you mentioned using a holster--after my first one broke many years
ago after about a month, causing my phone to crash to the floor, I've not
used one for that particular reason.

    Good luck,

    J

I picked up the Motorola "Mercury EVA pouch". $5.99 plus shipping,
directly from Motorola. It's a nice pouch, though it has a velcro
strap that goes over the antenna to keep it in. I'm finding myself
using the plastic holster more, but I do like that pouch.

Go to www.motorola.com, search for the E815, select the first page
from the search and then click the accessories link, then
    style/pouches/cases.

I saw a few of these online and they do look good. Do you know if any of
the big stores carry them? I'd prefer not to mail-order.

My personal favorite for the E815 is made by Krusell:

    Verticalic XS, P/N 94173,
    http://www.krusell.se/product.php?s=2&prodGrp=1&product=611

I use it in conjunction with the Multiadapt SpringClip, P/N 58301:

    http://www.krusell.se/product.php?s=2&product=765

An excellent combo if you are looking for a holster-style case.
