Clear an App’s Data or Cache:

NOTE: if an app doesn’t work as intended or takes up more storage than it should, you can try fixing it by clearing the app’s cache or data.

WARNING! By clearing the app’s data, you will delete all of your custom data stored within the app, such as login information, custom settings and more. To avoid losing personal app data, clear ONLY the app cache.

    1. Open “Settings
    2. Go to “Apps & Notifications” and switch to “All apps
    3. Select the desired app and tap “Storage
    4. Tap “Clear cache
    5. If clearing the cache didn’t fix the issues, tap “Clear data” (Check the WARNING above)

Reset Network and App Settings, Factory Reset the Phone:

NOTE: Make sure you’ve backed up all of your personal data before factory resetting the phone.

    1. Open “Settings
    2. Scroll to and access “System” > “Reset options
    3. To reset network settings, tap “Reset Wi-Fi Mobile & Bluetooth” then tap “Reset” two times
    4. To reset app settings, tap “Reset app preferences” > “Reset apps
    5. To factory reset the device, tap “Erase all data (Factory Reset)” > “Reset phone” > “Erase Everything

Reboot to Safe Mode to Remove Apps:

NOTE: If you are unable to remove an application from your phone, you should be able to uninstall it in Safe Mode where all third-party apps are disabled by default.

    1. Press and hold “Power” on the home screen
    2. Tap and hold “Power off” in the power management pop-up
    3. Once the phone finishes rebooting, open “Settings” and go to “Apps & Notifications
    4. Switch to “All apps” if needed
    5. Select the desired app and tap “Uninstall” > “OK
    6. Once done, you can exit Safe Mode by rebooting the phone normally
