How-to CAT S48c: Transfer Audio Files from a PC and Set Custom Call and Notification Ringtones

    Transfer Audio Files from a PC:

    1. Connect the Android device to the PC via USB
    2. Enable “Media file” on the phone either when prompted or from the Notification area
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the audio files on the PC
    5. Copy and paste the desired audio files to the phone storage in the “Ringtones” and / or “Notifications” folders
    6. Once done, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord

    Change the Phone’s General Ringtone:

    1. Launch “Settings
    2. Access “Sound” > “Phone ringtone
    3. Select the desired ringtone

    Change the Ringtone of a Specific Contact:

    NOTE: You can’t set custom ringtones for contacts located on the phone’s internal memory or SIM card.

    1. Open “Settings
    2. Tap and hold the desired contact
    3. Tap “Edit” > “Menu” > “Set ringtone
    4. Select the desired ringtone
    5. Tap “Save” to confirm

    Change the Notification Alert Sound:

    1. Launch “Settings
    2. Go to “Sound
    3. Tap “Default notification sound
    4. Select the notification ringtone you want o assign

    Manage Emergency Alerts:

    1. Open “Messages
    2. Tap “Menu” > “Settings
    3. Access “Wireless alerts
    4. Tap “Menu” > “Settings
    5. Turn “Allow alerts” “AMBER alerts” “Severe threats” and “Extreme threats” ON or OFF
