I've only been playing around with it a few times lately, but think I will
now take my laptop on vacation with me. It has worked fine, but I have
probably only been connected for up to about half an hour at a time. I
don't happen to recall download speed testing, which has varied. But,
downloading files from three different locations have been at a Mozilla
    reported speed of 14Kps, 15Kps, and 16Kps - a good three times 56k dialup.
