This tutorial will teach you how to connect and share files via Bluetooth.

To Turn Bluetooth ON or OFF

    1. From the home screen, press Apps.
    2. Go to Settings.
    3. Tap the Bluetooth switch to turn it ON.

Note: Turn the Bluetooth OFF when you’re not using it to help preserve the battery life.

To Connect Your Device Using Bluetooth

If this is the first time you’re connecting a Bluetooth device to your smartphone, check out the following steps:

    1. See that the device you want to pair with is in discoverable mode.
    2. After that, tap Apps -> Settings -> Select Bluetooth and turn the switch ON.
    3. Next you need to tap SEARCH FOR DEVICES.
    4. Select the device you want to connect with.
    5. In case you are required to enter a passkey, try 0000 or 1234.

Note: If you want to rename a device you paired with, tap the Settings icon that appears next to the device.

    6. Once your phone is connected, the Bluetooth status indicator will turn blue.

Note: If you want to reconnect or disconnect a device automatically, just turn the Bluetooth ON or OFF.

    To Manage Devices

If you want to manually reconnect your Motorola Droid Razar HD with a paired device, all you need to do is select the name of the device while in the Available Devices list.

To remove a device: go to the Paired Devices list -> tap the Settings icon that appears next to the name of the desired device -> tap Unpair.

To Set Your Phone in Discoverable Mode

To let other Bluetooth devices find your phone:

    1. Tap Apps.
    2. Tap Settings.
    3. Select Bluetooth.
    4. Tap the name of your phone to make it visible for all devices for the next two minutes.

To change the name of your smartphone:

    1. Tap Apps.
    2. Go to Settings.
    3. Tap Bluetooth.
    4. Turn the Bluetooth ON.
    5. Tap the Menu key.
    6. Select Rename phone.
    7. Enter the desired name and tap OK.

    To Transfer Files Using Bluetooth

If you want to share a photo or video, open the desired photo or video -> tap Share -> tap Bluetooth.

If you want to share your contacts:

    1. Tap Apps.
    2. Tap People.
    3. Tap Menu.
    4. Select Share contacts.
    5. Check the contacts that you want to share – you can also choose Unselect All.
    6. Tap OK and Bluetooth when finished.
