First, download the latest version of SUPER

    Download SUPER Here

It may take you awhile to figure out the in's and out's of the program, but, stick it out....it's worth it.

Drag and drop your favorite video file (Tv-show, movie, etc..) into the SUPER program (.AVI, .mpg or .qt for best results)

Select .3gp (sony ericsson) as the output container (do not change the next 2 (mpeg-4 & AAC)

Select 320:240 as the video scale size

    Select 4:3 aspect

Select 15fps for the frame rate

Select at least 128kbps as the video bitrate, do not select "use direct show"

    Do not select "3gp v4/v5"

Select 22500, 2 channel, 96kbps bitrate for the audio

    Click on the "encode" button

The resultant file should show up in your C: drive as a .3gp video.

When your video is encoded, try opening it with quicktime to see if it plays.

When you have verified that it is a working video, simply drop it into the "My_flix" folder on your microSD card and voila! movies on the enV!

    Hope this helps!

Re: How to convert/put Videos on your enV (LG VX9900)

    Hello everybody.

Just wanted to make a update to some other options you can do while making video for your vx9900.
Now I have played around with settings to get optimal quality while saving space and I'll post what I did.

For output container I also used 3gp (I also assume 3g2 also works).

Now instead of mpeg-4 in "output video codec" I use H.264/AVC which is known to give you better quality at lower bitrates.

I was actually amazed to see this work, as H.264 is known to use more processing power when decoding.

    Anyhow it works.

And for audio codec output still stays at aac.

Now selecting the resolution has 2 factors.

176x144 can be used and is good for using the smaller front screen (and saves some space). Otherwise 320x240 is fine. It will automatically select the ideal aspect ratio for each.

As was said in the initial post 15 fps is best for this phone.

    Now since I'm using H.264 codec I use a bitrate of 75kbps.

And on the side option check boxes, I make sure these are checked:
hi quality, stretch it (makes any video that might be cropped fit) and then i check other opts. You will see a new side box open up. I check "adjust the encode volume" and set that to 200 since most video's seem to have low volume (300 usually makes it garbled due to too much truncation going on).

Now for AAC audio settings. AAC is a pretty good low bitrate codec. And since your watching movies/shows that tend not to emphasis on music, but rather voice and sound fx a bitrate setting of 32kbps should be fine in 90% of all cases.

As was said above sampling freq should be 22050.

As a reference a movie that has a play time of 1:55:50 will result in a file roughly 175MB in size.

A show thats about 45 mins will be about 50MB.

    Hope that helps. :)

    MD
