Darn you VZW! Can't change my plan online or via 800 number?!

    Now I'm mad....
    I have a Family Share plan with a 400 minute(!) plan that I pay 39.99
    as well as another $20 for my daughter to 'share' all those minutes. I
    am now eligible to take VZW up on their NE2 deal and get $100 shaved
    off of a new phone with a 2 year plan. My daughter also supposedly can
    get a 'discounted' phone.

    I can supposedly order a new phone (LG VX8300) online but it looks like
    they only allow you to order one phone at a time even though I'd like
    to replace both phones. I want to also change my plan to a 700 minute
    plan but when I try and do it online it says I cannot because of Family
    Share, so they give me an 800 number to call to have it done.

    I call today and talk about phones and such but they say they cannot
    change my plan unless it has been changed in the past 90 days. Huh?
    The website says to call the 800 number and the 800 number says they
    can't change my plan, I need to go into a VZW store. The whole reason
    to do it either online or calling is so that I don't have to set foot
    in the store!

    What kind of nonsense is this?
    For some reason they also said (at the 800 number) that I was eligible
    for NE2 2 years ago and that it is way past the 6 month time frame to
    take advantage of NE2 now. Again, huh? I took advantage of NE2 2
    years ago!
    I told them the website correctly states I am eligible for NE2. They
    put me on hold and eventually came back and said they'd note on my
    account that I did NE2 2 years ago and can now do NE2 again.
    Supposedly they have no record of my NE2 two years ago even though
    online does. Whatever.

    The other thing I don't like is that online I can get a new phone and
    make use of the $50 online discount, whereas ordering via the 800
    number and probably the store I would need to send in a $50 rebate.

    Anyway, I'm just venting and wondering if anyone has any other ideas
    for me on how I can go about replacing both phones and get a new plan
    without setting foot in a store. And I plan on getting the LG VX8300
    for me and the Samsung SCH-a930 for my daughter.

    The easiest way to take advantage of the NE2 discount and to also
    receive the online instant rebate if you are having trouble with the
    website is to call the 1-800 number again (800 922-0204) and ask to
    speak with e-services. This department handles problems with the website
    and would easily be able to walk you through the process of ordering
    your phones with all applicable discounts and the process of updating
    you family share plan online.
