I found a phone in the lake. I charged it and everything still works somehow. But the people had a lock code to view anything on it. I would like to figure out who's it is so I can return it. Some of the speed dials ("moms house") ring but then it says its out of my calling area. Is there anyway to unlock it so i can find out who's it is. thanks.

Can you enter an incorrect code enough times where it will reset itself similar to Blackberry phones?

Does it give you a specific quantity of tries to guess the right code?

Your best bet is to just take it to a Verizon store. More than likely the person who owned the phone has already replaced it and the phone you found will not be able to be reactivated anyway (since they probably reported it lost).
