Can anybody tell me if FIOS is more affected by bad weather than other internet options? I'm looking for something more consistent than the cable service we have now, but I work online and I can't afford to have problems every time we get a storm.

FIOS is pretty reliable. If you connect your devices to their wi-fi they stay connected. Unless it has trouble with a device and won't connect. They have an app for your computer that you can use to get your internet up and running if there is a problem. It is called Verizon In Home Agent. I have been with them since 09 and have not had any major problems. I am very satisfied with their home phone and internet service. Try it. Enjoy it.
