If you own a Verizon Droid Incredible 2, then you know how frustrating it could be to get the latest OS update on your phone. You had to root your phone first and go to your computer only to upload an unofficial version. Now, there will be a download for the Droid Incredible 2 that allows you to download an OFFICIAL version of Gingerbread by an Over-The-Air download.

The OTA download will help with performance issues as well as improve them, give you improved and better connectivity, a built in browser bookmark for the New York Times, a new desktop dock app, Wireless Charging UI and improvements to the mobile IM and solutions to the Hotmail sync problems.

As with any OTA update, this update will happen in stages, so not everyone will receive it
at the same time but should not take much longer than a week.
