Hanging up VX4500 in Driving Mode

    My experience is just the opposite. In fact, I just tried it myself to
    verify each end of the conversation.

    I set the VX4500 up for auto-answer/driving mode and had the kids call
    me from an upstairs phone. I could hear them just fine over the closed
    phone.

    I then sent them downstairs to my office/VX4500 while I went upstairs
    and called. I could hear them perfectly well over the closed phone.

    Perhaps it helps that I have the leather case and that provides more
    space for the mic to pick up my voice.
