By performing a hard or factory reset, all your data will be wiped from your LG Lucid 2, including photos, videos, contacts music as well as third party applications that you installed to your smartphone, so if possible, you should back up your information prior to performing the steps of this tutorial.

A hard reset is very useful in case your device is no longer responding or for example you forgot your lock sequence and backup PIN, as your smartphone will return to its factory settings.

Power Resetting Your LG Lucid 2

In case your device is not responding, before proceeding with a factory reset you may want to Power reset it by simply pressing and holding the Power/Lock key for about 8 seconds. This should reset your device. If the smartphone is still not responding, proceed with the Hard/Factory reset steps from below.

    Resetting Your LG Lucid 2

    1. Turn off your smartphone.
    2. Then press and hold the Volume Down Key and Power/Lock Key simultaneously.
    3. Once the FACTORY HARD RESET is displayed, release those keys.
    4. If you want to continue with the reset, press the Power/Lock Key, but if you’d like to cancel, press the Volume Keys.
    5. You’ll need to press the Power/Lock Key once more to confirm you want to reset your smartphone, or the Volume Keys to cancel this process.
    6. If you agree to continue, your LG Lucid 2 will reset and reboot.
