How-to HTC Desire 526: Sync / Transfer Data via HTC Sync Manager

    Install HTC Sync Manager on a Windows Machine:

    1. Launch the Internet browser on your computer
    2. Visit HTC Sync Manager Overview | HTC United States
    3. Download and install HTC Sync Manager on your PC
    4. Connect the HTC Desire 526 to your computer via USB
    5. Once connected, the smartphone will appear in HSM

    Transfer Data from an iPhone via iTunes and HSM:

    1. Connect the iPhone and HTC Desire 526 to your computer via USB
    2. Open HSM and click “Home” > “Transfer & Backup
    3. Click “Get Started” and open iTunes
    4. Use iTunes to back up your iPhone data
    5. In HSM, click “Next” and load the iPhone backup file
    6. Click “OK” and select the content you want to transfer
    7. Click “Start

    Copy or Remove Media Files in HSM:

    1. Establish a USB connection between the HTC device and computer
    2. Launch HSM and click “Home
    3. Optionally, switch between the internal and external storage
    4. Click “Sync Settings” > “Files” > “Sync Settings
    5. Click “Sync documents from the following location on your computer
    6. Click “Add” and select the files you want to sync
    7. Click “Refresh

    Export Media Files to a Computer via HSM:

    1. Connect the HTC Desire 526 via USB
    2. Launch HSM on the PC and click “Home
    3. Click “Sync Settings” and select the phone’s internal or external storage
    4. To export videos and photos, click “Gallery” > “Settings
    5. To export audio files, click “Music” > “Settings” > “Copy all music from phone
    6. Click “Refresh

    Sync Data and Playlists using HSM

    NOTE: Using HTC Sync Manager you can sync bookmarks, events, and various types of information between your computer and smartphone. On a Mac, HSM can be used to sync data from Address Book, Apple Calendar, Contacts, Google Chrome, Outlook 2011 for Mac, and Apple iCal. On a Windows machine, HSM can be used to sync data from Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Outlook 2003 or newer, and Internet Explorer.

    Sync Data:

    1. Establish a USB connection between the HTC device and computer
    2. Launch HSM and click “Home
    3. Click “Sync Settings” and check the boxes associated with the items you wish to sync
    4. To change sync settings, click “Settings
    5. To start the syncing process, click “Refresh

    Sync Playlists from iTunes or Windows Media Player via HSM:

    1. Connect the HTC Desire 526 to your computer via USB
    2. Launch HSM and click “Home” > “Sync Settings
    3. Select the location where you want to sync data
    4. Click “Music” > “Settings” > “Sync selected playlist
    5. Select the playlist you want to sync
    6. Click “Refresh

    Do you want to transfer files from HTC phone to computer as a backup? If so, you may need an alternative to HTC Sync Manager. It allows you to access to the internal and external memory of your HTC phone on the PC, so that you can freely backup files or manage your HTC device on the computer as you want.

    If you are going to transfer data between differen phone , you need to use an effective transfer tool to accomplish this task ,
