Insurance- tricky way to get an unreleased (yet) phone?

    And my experience was that the refurbs sent were always a
    little "off" - case didn't close right, got lower signal in
    the same spot I always got a better one etc.

    I fear the real answer is to recognize that our phones are
    really precious to us and take extremely good care of them.
    That, combined with prayer ... :)

    What you lose Is what you get back. And not always a new one. Friend lost
    his and got the same one but it was another color then the one he had. Plus
    they make you fill out a Police Report, And I think It's a $50.00 Co-Pay as
    well.

    You get what you hads unless no longer available.

    My T720 recently died and I got a brand new T730 for $50.
    Looked at how much I paid for insurance plus $50 and
    decided it would have been cheaper to buy a new phone. Only
    benefit is my contract did not get extended like it would have
    on a new phone purchase so assuming the T730 lasts and I don't
    change my plan I am free from Verizon in October.
  4. Why would your contract get extended if you purchased a new phone??

    If you paid a subsidized, less-than-retail price you'd be required to
    extend the contract.
