Clear an App’s Cache or Data:

NOTE: If an application doesn’t work as intended or takes up too much storage, you can try fixing the problems by clearing the app cache or data. WARNING! When you clear an app’s data, all of your personal data located within the app will be deleted, including user profiles, custom settings, login data etc. To avoid losing personal app data, clear ONLY the app cache.

    1. Open “Settings
    2. Access “Apps & Notifications
    3. Switch to “All apps” if necessary and select the desired app
    4. Tap “Storage” > “Clear cache
    5. If clearing the app cache didn’t solve the issues, tap “Clear data” (check the WARNING above)

Reset Network and App Settings, Factory Reset the Device:

NOTE: Before you factory reset the phone, make sure you’ve backed up all of your personal data.

    1. Launch “Settings” and scroll to then tap “System
    2. Tap “Reset options
    3. To reset network settings, go to “Reset Wi-Fi Mobile & Bluetooth” and tap “Reset” twice
    4. To reset app settings, tap “Reset app preferences” > “Reset apps
    5. To factory reset the phone, tap “Erase all data (Factory Reset)” > “Reset phone” > “Erase everything

Reboot to Safe Mode and Uninstall Third-Party Apps:

NOTE: If a third-party app causes issues and prevents you from removing it, you should be able to remove the app while in Safe Mode where all third party apps are turned off by default.

    1. Press and hold “Power” on the home screen
    2. From the power management pop-up, tap and hold “Power off
    3. Wait for the phone to finish rebooting. Once the process completes, a “Safe Mode” watermark should be shown in the lower area of the home screen
    4. Open “Settings” and go to “Apps & Notifications
    5. Switch to “All apps” and select the desired app
    6. Tap “Uninstall” > “OK
    7. Once the process is done, you can reboot the phone normally to exit Safe Mode
