How-to LG G7 ThinQ: Transfer Audio Files from a PC and Set Custom Ringtones & Notifications

    Transfer Audio Files from a PC:

    1. Connect the Android device to the computer via USB
    2. On the phone, enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” at the prompt or from the Notification area
    3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Navigate to the media files on the computer
    5. Copy and paste the desired files to the phone storage, preferably in the “Notifications” and “Ringtones” directories
    6. After the process completes, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord

    Change the General Ringtone:

    1. Launch “Settings
    2. Access “Device” and tap “Sound
    3. Go to “Ringtone
    4. Select the desired ringtone
    5. Tap “OK

    Change a Specific Contact’s Ringtone:

    NOTE: you cannot set custom ringtones for contacts stored on the phone’s internal memory or the SIM card.

    1. Open “Contacts
    2. Tap the desired contact
    3. Tap “Edit” > “More” > “Ringtone
    4. Select the desired ringtone
    5. Press “OK

    Change Incoming Email Alert Settings:

    1. Open “Email
    2. Tap “Menu
    3. Go to “Settings” > “Account & Sync
    4. Select the desired email account and enable “New Emails
    5. Access “Notification sound” and select the desired ringtone
    6. Optionally you can turn “Vibrate” ON or OFF

    Change Emergency Alert Settings:

    1. Launch “Messaging
    2. Tap “Menu” > “Settings
    3. Access “Advanced settings
    4. Tap “More” > “Emergency alerts
    5. Tap “Receive alerts
    6. Enable or disable “Imminent extreme alerts” “Imminent severe alerts” and “AMBER alerts
    7. Access “Sound and Vibrate
    8. Enable or disable “Alert Sound” and “Alert vibration
