How-to LG K20 V: Tips to Conserve Battery Life

    Enable Battery Saving Mode:

    1. Open “Settings
    2. Access the “General” tab
    3. Scroll to “Phone Management
    4. Tap the “Battery saver” switch ON
    5. Select a battery percentage at which the mode enables automatically

    Lower the Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

    1. Open “Settings
    2. Access the “Display” tab
    3. Tap “Brightness” under “Basic settings
    4. Drag the brightness slider towards the left to decrease brightness
    5. Tap “Screen timeout” and select a lower value

    Disable Unused Connectivity Features:

    NOTE: By disabling the phone’s connectivity options when unused, including Wi-Fi, Hotspot, Bluetooth, and GPS, you can improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Swipe the “Status” bar down on the home screen
    2. Open “Settings” and go to the “Network” tab
    3. Scroll to “Connectivity” and tap “Tethering
    4. Tap “Mobile Hotspot” and disable the feature
    5. Go back to “Settings” and set the “Wi-Fi” and “Bluetooth” switches OFF
    6. Scroll to “Personal” and tap “Location” for GPS options
    7. Then tap “Mode” and enable “Battery saving (Networks only)

    Switch to 2G Networks Temporarily:

    NOTE: If your phone runs low on battery and you don’t have quick access to a wall socket or battery bank, you can conserve battery life until the next recharge by temporarily switching to 2G networks.

    1. Launch “Settings
    2. Go to the “Networks” tab and scroll to “Connectivity
    3. Tap “More” > “Mobile networks
    4. Tap “Network mode
    5. Select “GSM only

    Disable Background Data:

    1. Open “Settings
    2. Go to the “Networks” tab
    3. Tap “Mobile data
    4. Tap “Menu” and enable “Restrict background data
    5. Tap “OK” to confirm

    Adjust Video Quality in Games:

    1. Launch “Settings
    2. From the “General” tab, scroll to “Phone Management
    3. Tap “Battery & Power saving
    4. Disable “Game optimizer

    Turn OFF Smart Settings Unused at Home:

    1. Launch “Settings
    2. Go to the “General” tab
    3. Scroll to “Smart functions
    4. Tap “Smart settings” and disable the feature

    Minimize Third Party App Usage:

    NOTE: Some third party apps perform regular background processes, which can potentially affect battery life even when the apps are not actively in use. By disabling or removing unused third party apps from the phone, you can improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Open “Settings
    2. Go to the “General” tab
    3. Scroll to “Phone Management” and tap “Apps
    4. Go to “Downloaded
    5. Tap and hold the desired app
    6. Tap “Disable” / “Force Stop” to turn the app OFF
    7. Alternatively, tap “Uninstall” to remove the app

    Reduce Sync:

    NOTE: By changing your accounts’ sync settings to reduce sync, you can improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Launch “Settings
    2. Go to the “General” tab
    3. Scroll to “Personal
    4. Go to “Accounts & Sync
    5. Optionally, turn “Auto-sync data” OFF
    6. Scroll to “Accounts” and select an account to change the sync settings associated with it
