How-to LG K20 V: Transfer Audio Files from a PC and Set Custom Ringtones & Notification Alerts

    Transfer Audio Files from a Windows Computer:

    1. Connect the LG K20 V to your computer via UB
    2. Enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” when prompted or from the “Notification” area
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the desired audio files on the PC storage
    5. Copy and paste the files on the phone storage, preferably in the “Ringtones” / “Notifications” folder(s)
    6. Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord

    Change the Ringtone for All Calls:

    1. Open “Settings
    2. Go to the “Sound & Notification” tab
    3. Tap “Ringtone
    4. Select the desired ringtone and tap “OK” to confirm

    Change the Ringtone of a Specific Contact:

    NOTE: Custom ringtones cannot be set for contacts located on the phone’s internal memory or the SIM card.

    1. Open “Contacts
    2. Select the desired contact
    3. Tap “Edit” > “Ringtone
    4. Select the desired ringtone
    5. Tap “OK” to confirm

    Change Email Notification Alerts:

    1. Launch “Email
    2. Tap “Menu
    3. Go to “Settings” and select your “email” account
    4. Scroll to “Notification settings” and clear or check the “Notifications” check box
    5. Tap “Notification sound” and select the desired notification alert
    6. Tap “OK” to confirm

    Change Emergency Alert Settings:

    1. Open “Settings
    2. Tap “Menu” > “Settings
    3. Tap “More” under “General
    4. Tap “Emergency alerts
    5. Clear or tick the check boxes associated with “Imminent severe alert”, “Imminent extreme alert” and/or “AMBER alert

    NOTE: Presidential alerts are enabled by default and cannot be disabled.
