How-to LG Lucid 3: Tips & Tricks to Personalize Your Smartphone

    Changing the Phone's Language:

    1. From the home screen, swipe the "Notification" bar down
    2. Tap "Settings"
    3. Scroll to and tap "Language & input"
    4. Tap "Language"
    5. Select the preferred language and press the "Back" or "Home" button

    Setting a Lock Screen for the First Time:

    1. While viewing the home screen, tap the "Apps" icon
    2. Tap "Settings"
    3. Scroll to and tap "Lock screen"
    4. Tap "Select screen lock"
    5. Choose the desired security option, and follow the on-screen steps to complete the setup

    Changing the Wallpaper:

    1. While viewing a home screen, tap and hold an empty space
    2. Select "Wallpapers"
    3. Choose the desired type of wallpaper, such as "Live Wallpapers"
    4. Select the wallpaper that you wish to use
    5. Tap "Apply"
    6. Press the "Home" button and return to the home screen

    Setting a Picture as a Wallpaper:

    1. While viewing the home screen, tap "Gallery"
    2. From the Gallery app, select an album
    3. Tap the desired image
    4. Press the "Menu" key and select "Set image as"
    5. Select "Home screen wallpaper" > "Just once"
    6. Drag the blue borders to crop the image as you desire
    7. Tap "OK" > "Yes" (Optionally, mark the check box next to "Set on Lock screen")
    8. Press "Home" to return to the home screen and view your wallpaper

    Adding or Removing Home Screens:

    1. While viewing a home screen, pinch it using two fingers
    2. To add a new home screen, tap the "+" panel. NOTE: you can have up to 7 home screens
    3. To change the order of the home screens, press and hold > move them
    4. To view the newly added home screen, tap it
    5. To remove a home screen, pinch it using two fingers
    6. Tap and hold the home screen that you wish to delete
    7. Drag the home screen on top of the "Remove" button

    Adding Widgets and App Shortcuts to the Home Screen

    1. From any home screen, tap the "Apps" icon
    2. Tap "Widgets" or "Apps"
    3. Browse for the widget / app that you wish to add
    4. Tap and hold the desired widget / app, and drag > drop it on the desired home screen

    Moving or Resizing Widgets:

    1. Navigate to the home screen containing the desired widget
    2. Tap and hold the desired widget
    3. Drag the widget in the new location and drop it
    4. To resize the widget, tap and hold it until the blue border appears. NOTE: not all widgets are resizable
    5. Drag the blue borders to resize the widget, and tap outside of it to exit edit mode

    Removing an App or Widget from the Home Screen:

    1. Navigate to the home screen containing the desired app or widget
    2. Tap and hold the widget or app
    3. Drag the item on top of the "Remove" button and release it

    Adding a Lock Scree Widget:

    1. With your smartphone's screen turned off, press the "Power" key to wakt it up
    2. From the lock screen, swipe left-to-right
    3. Tap the "+" button
    4. Select the widget that you wish to add to the lock screen

    Adding a Folder to the Home Screen:

    1. While on the home screen, tap "Apps"
    2. Tap and hold the application that you'd like to be in the home screen folder
    3. Drag and drop the app on top of another app (located on the home screen) - one that you'd like to be in the same folder
    4. A new folder will be created on the home screen, containing both apps
    5. Tap the folder to open it
    6. Tap the "Folder" text to rename the folder and tap "Done" on the on-screen keyboard
    7. Select a color for the folder and press "OK"
    8. To add more apps in the folder, tap the "+" icon. To remove an app, tap > hold it, and drag > drop it outside of the folder, or on top of the remove button
