WARNING! When you factory reset your phone, all the personal data stored on the phone will be deleted, including downloaded apps and content, media files, ringtones, contacts etc. Additionally, settings will be restored to factory values, but data on the SIM and SD card won’t be affected.

NOTE: Before you reset the device, you can check this thread for a guide on how to back up data, and this thread for a guide on restoring data.

    Factory Reset via Settings:

    5. Select an account and access “Factory data reset
    6. Optionally, select to “Erase SD Card” too
    7. Tap “Reset phone” to proceed
    8. If your phone is protected by a lock screen, enter your password/PIN
    9. When ready, tap “Delete all” > “Reset

    Factory Reset via Recovery:

    1. Ensure the phone is powered off
    2. Press and hold “Power” and “Volume down” at the same time
    3. At the LG logo quickly release and re-hold “Power
    4. Release the buttons at the “Factory data reset” screen
    5. Next, press “Volume down” to navigate the menu and highlight “Yes
