    Clear an App Cache/Data:

NOTE: If one of your apps doesn’t work as intended or takes up too much storage inexplicably, you can try fixing these issues by clearing the app’s cache or data.

WARNING! By clearing the app’s data, all your personal information stored within the app – such as save games, user profiles, high scores, login information – will be deleted. To avoid losing personal app data, clear ONLY the app’s cache.

    1. Launch “Settings
    2. Go to “Phone management
    3. Access the “General” tab and tap “Apps
    4. Select the desired app and tap “Storage” > “Clear cache
    5. If clearing the cache didn’t solve the issues, you can try tapping “Clear data” > “OK” (check the Warning above)

    Wipe the Cache Partition:

NOTE: If your device freezes, crashes, or otherwise doesn’t work as intended and you’re considering a factory reset, you can try solving these issues by clearing the cache partition. This can fix the same issues as a factory reset without losing personal data from the phone.

    1. Open “Settings” and go to “Phone management
    2. Tap “Store” > “Internal storage
    3. After the phone finishes calculating the data, tap “Cached data” > “Clear

NOTE: If clearing the cache partition didn’t help, you can check this thread for a guide on how to factory reset the phone.

Enable Safe Mode and Remove an App:

NOTE: If you’ve installed a third-party app that causes issues and prevents you from removing it, you should be able to uninstall the app while in Safe Mode. In this mode, all third-party apps are disabled by default. To exit to Safe Mode:

    1. Press and hold “Power” on the home screen
    2. In the power management pop-up, tap and hold “Power off
    3. Tap “OK” when prompted to “Restart in Safe Mode
    4. After the phone reboots, a “Safe Mode” watermark should be visible in the lower area of the home screen
    5. To remove an app, first open “Settings” then go to “Phone Management
    6. Tap “Apps” and select the desired app
    7. Tap “Uninstall” > “OK” to confirm
    8. Once done, you can exit Safe Mode by rebooting your phone as you would normally do
