How-to Messaging and Call Functions on Motorola Droid Razr HD

    To create a message:

    1. Tap Apps.
    2. Tap Text Messaging.
    3. You can also tap the key icon when the screen is locked and then flick the key to the Text icon.
    4. Now tap the + sign located at the top part of the screen to create a message.
    5. To enter the message, tap the text box located at the bottom of the screen.
    6. If you want to attach a video, picture or other type of file, tap the attachment icon.

    To replay to a text message – open the desired conversation and enter your reply in the text box located at the bottom of the screen.
    To forward a message – open the desired conversation, tap and hold the desired message you wish to forward and tap the envelope icon located at the top of the screen.
    To delete a message – tap and hold the desired conversation and tap the recycle bin located at the top of the screen. If you want to delete only one message, open the conversation and tap and hold just the message you want to delete.

    To see the number of your phone:

    1. From the Home screen, tap Apps.
    2. Tap Settings.
    3. Tap About phone.
    4. Select Status.
    5. Tap My phone number.

    To make a phone call:

    1. Tap Apps
    2. Phone .
    3. Enter the number that you want to dial and tap the phone icon.

    To restrict outgoing calls

    You can restrict your Motorola Droid Razr HD to make calls only to certain numbers. To do that, you need to:

    1. Tap Apps.
    2. Go to Phone.
    3. Tap Menu.
    4. Tap Settings.
    5. Tap Fixed Dialing Numbers.
    6. To turn the feature on – Select Enable FDN (Fixed Dialing Numbers).
    7. Tap the FDN list to add or delete the phone numbers that your phone is allowed to call.

    To create a new contact:

    1. Tap Apps.
    2. Tap People and touch the + sign to add a new contract.
    3. To type in the name and details, tap the text box.
    4. When you’re finished, tap Save.

    To edit a contact:

    1. Select the contact you want to edit.
    2. Press the Menu key.
    3. Tap Edit.
    4. Now you can tap the picture icon to assign a picture for that particular contact, or tap the desired field you wish to edit.
    5. To set a specific ringtone for a contact – select the contact -> Menu -> Set ringtone.

    To delete a contact
    you simply need to select the contact -> press the Menu key and tap
    Note: The contacts from your social networks (such as Facebook or Twitter) will not be deleted even if you choose Delete, they will just become hidden. If you want to delete them permanently, you should use the app of that particular social network.

    To hide the contacts from a group that you have created in your People list, you need to tap Menu –> Contacts to display. Choose the group name that you want to show and tap Customize to uncheck the groups you want to hide.
