How-to Moto E4 Plus: Manage Contacts, Caller Groups, and the Call Log

    Create a Contact:

    1. Open “Contacts
    2. Go to “All contacts
    3. Tap “+” and select the desired method of syncing or storing the contact
    4. Enter the contact’s phone number, name, and other details in the appropriate fields
    5. Tap “Done” to confirm

    Import/Export Contacts:

    1. Open “Contacts
    2. Tap “Menu
    3. Go to “Import/Export
    4. Select to “Import from SIM card”, “Import from storage” or “Export to storage
    5. Follow the on-screen steps to complete the import/export

    Add Contacts to Speed Dial:

    1. Tap and hold an empty area on the home screen
    2. Access “Widgets
    3. Drag and drop the “Direct Dial” widgets in an empty area on the home screen
    4. When prompted, select the contact you want to link with the widget

    NOTE: By repeating the steps above you can add multiple Direct Dial widgets on the home screen for additional contacts. You can also add these widgets in folders on the home screen by dragging one Direct Dial widget and dropping it over another.

    Delete Contacts:

    1. Open “Contacts
    2. Access “All contacts
    3. Select the contact you want to remove
    4. Tap “Edit” > “Menu” > “Delete
    5. Press “OK” to confirm

    Reset the Call Log:

    1. Open “Phone
    2. Tap “Menu” > “Call history
    3. To view more details on a call log entry, tap it
    4. To clear the call log, tap “Menu” > “Clear history
    5. Tap “Clear call log” to confirm

    Create a New Caller Group:

    1. Open “Contacts
    2. Access “All contacts
    3. Tap “+
    4. Tap “Groups” under “Group name
    5. Tap “Create a new group
    6. Enter the desired name and tap “OK” > “Back

    Assign Contacts to an Existing Caller Group:

    1. Launch “Contacts
    2. Go to “All contacts
    3. Tap and hold the contact you want to assign to the group
    4. Tap “Edit” > “Group name
    5. Select an existing caller group
    6. Press “Back” to confirm
