How-to Motorola DROID MAXX 2: Manage Contacts, Caller Groups, and the Call Log

    Add a New Contact:
    1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
    2. Launch “Contacts
    3. Access the “All Contacts” tab
    4. Tap “+” in the lower-right corner of the screen
    5. Enter the contact’s phone number, name, and details in the proper fields
    6. If necessary, select an account
    7. When ready, tap “Done” to save the contact
    Import / Export Contacts:
    1. Open the apps drawer
    2. Launch “Contacts
    3. Tap “menu” > “Import / Export
    4. Choose to “Import from storage”, “Import from SIM card” or “Export to storage
    5. Depending on your selection, follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
    Add a Contact to Speed Dial:
    1. Tap and hold an empty area on the home screen
    2. Select “Widgets
    3. Find, and then tap & hold the “Direct Dial” widget
    4. Drag the widget and drop it on top of the home screen
    5. At the contacts list pop-up, select the contact you want to associate with the widget
    6. You can repeat the steps above to add as many Direct Dial widgets as you need
    7. Furthermore you can organize the widgets on the home screen by dragging > dropping them on top of one another to create folders
    Delete a Contact:
    1. Launch “Contacts
    2. Go to “All Contacts
    3. Choose the desired contact and tap “Edit” (button shaped like a pencil)
    4. Tap “Menu” > “Delete” > “OK” to confirm
    Create a Caller Group:
    1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
    2. Open “Contacts
    3. Access “All contacts” and tap the “Add” icon
    4. Under “Groups”, tap “Group name
    5. Tap “Create a new group” and enter a name for the group
    6. Tap “OK” and press “Back” to save the caller group
    Add Contacts to an Existing Caller Group:
    1. Launch “Contacts
    2. Tap “All contacts
    3. Tap and hold the contact you want to add to an existing group
    4. Tap “Edit
    5. Under “Groups”, tap “Group name” and select the desired group
    6. Tap “Back” to save the changes
    View and Reset the Call Log:
    1. Tap “Phone” on the home screen
    2. Press “Menu’ > “Call history
    3. Select a call log entry to view more details for it
    4. To reset the call log, go to the “Call history” screen, tap “Menu” and select “Clear call log
