I am wondering if the WiFi feature on a Droid will work even though the device is not active for cell phone service. Is it possible to make SKYPE calls from a WIFI hotspot if the cell phone activation has not occured? Someone wants to sell me thier used droid. I don't want to activate cell service but would love to be able to browse the internet or make SKYPE calls before I get home and activate cell service.
