    2. Drag the brightness slider towards the left to decrease luminosity
    3. Open “Settings
    4. Access “Display
    5. Optionally, turn “Adaptive brightness” ON or OFF
    6. For timeout settings tap “Sleep” and select a lower value

    Enable Battery Saving Mode:

    1. Launch “Settings
    2. Go to “Device” > “Battery
    3. Tap “Menu
    4. Enable “Battery saver

    Disable Unused Connectivity Features:

NOTE: You can disable the phone’s connectivity features when they are not actively in use, such as Wi-Fi, Location (GPS), Bluetooth, and Hotspot, to prevent unnecessary network scans and potentially improve battery life in the long run

    1. On the home screen, swipe the Status bar down
    2. Tap the “Wi-Fi” “Bluetooth” and “Location” quick toggles to turn the features off
    3. Next open “Settings” and go to “Location” for GPS options
    4. Tap “Mode” and enable “Battery saving
    5. For Hotspot options, return to “Settings” and tap “More” under “Wireless & Networks
    6. Tap “Tethering & Portable hotspot” and turn the feature Off

    Switch to 2G Networks Temporarily:

NOTE: If your device runs low on battery and you don’t have quick access to a battery bank or wall socket, you can conserve energy until the next recharge by temporarily switching to 2G networks.

    1. Launch “Settings
    2. Tap “More” under “Wireless & Networks
    3. Tap “Mobile networks” > “Preferred network type
    4. Enable “2G

    Minimize Third-Party App Usage:

NOTE: Some third-party apps perform regular background processes that can potentially affect battery life even when the apps are not actively in use. By removing or disabling unused third-party apps, you can potentially improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Open “Settings
    2. Go to “Apps
    3. Ensure “All apps” is selected
    4. Select the desired app
    5. Tap “Disable” / “Force stop” to turn the app off
    6. To remove the app from the phone, tap “Uninstall

    Change Sync Settings:

NOTE: You can change your accounts’ settings to reduce sync and potentially improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Launch “Settings
    2. Access “Personal
    3. Tap “Accounts
    4. Select an account type
    5. Tap the desired account and change the available settings to reduce sync as desired

    Keep the OS Updated:

NOTE: OS updates can improve battery life and thus it’s recommended to keep the OS up to date at all times. To check for updates:

    1. Launch “Settings
    2. Go to “System updates
    3. Check if new updates are available for download
    4. If applicable, follow the on-screen prompts to download and install the update
