How-to Motorola Moto Z3: Back Up & Restore App Data, Contacts, and Media Files

    Back Up & Restore App Data:

    1. Launch “Settings” and scroll to “Personal
    2. Tap “Backup & Reset
    3. Enable “Back up my data” to back up app data, settings, and Wi-Fi passwords to your backup account
    4. Enable “Automatic Restore” to allow passwords, settings, and app data to be restored automatically when reinstalling apps or signing in with the backup account

    Back Up & Restore Contacts:

    1. Open “Settings
    2. Go to “Accounts
    3. Select an account type and the desired account for contact syncing
    4. Tick the “Contacts” checkmark
    5. Tap “Menu” > “Sync Now

    NOTE: Contacts can be automatically restored when signing in with the backup account or by syncing the account data manually with the phone.

    Back Up Media Files on a PC:

    1. Establish a USB connection between the Android device and PC
    2. On the phone, enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” at the prompt or from the Notification area
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the PC
    4. Navigate to the media files on the phone
    5. Copy and paste the files to the desired backup location on the computer
    6. Once done, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the phone from the USB port

    Restore Media Files from a PC:

    1. Connect the Android phone to the PC via USB
    2. On the phone, enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” at the prompt or from the Notification shade
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Navigate to the media file backups on the PC
    5. Transfer the files to the phone storage in the folders of origin
    6. Once done, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the phone from the USB port

    Cause Motorola Moto Z3 is running on Android OS, to Back Up & Restore App Data, Contacts, and Media Files on it, we can use Android data manager tool. With its help, we can Back Up & Restore data on it with one-click.
