Need help in identfiying status indicator on E815

Discussion in 'alt.cellular.verizon' started by david.f.jenkins@usa.net, Jul 8, 2005.

  1. On the E815 status line, immediately to the left of the ring indicator,
there's an icon that looks like a circle with a cross thru it. I can't
find it in the manual - any idea what it is and what it means?

    Thanks...

That is the location indicator icon. Menu+settings+9 (on my V710).
Your manual will have more information as to what it does
  3. Thanks, TeddeLI.

I see it now, going thourgh the menu as you said, but I don't see it
described in the manual anyplace. I did find it in the menu map (once I
knew what to look for) but no description anyplace. Weird. I love the
phone (esp. Bluetooth), but the manual isn't arranged very logically, I
    don't think. JMHO.

Generally the "location indicator" has to do with the GPS
function. Functioning only when 911 (in US phones) is
dialed or functioning all the time.
