This method is confirmed to work on CDMA (Verizon) Droid RAZRs. While GSM models are also supposed to work using this method, it has not been personally tested by myself.

    What You Need:

    Install Drivers

After downloading the latest Motorola USB drivers, install them using the executable file. It is always a good idea to reboot your PC after installing any new drivers to make sure the changes take effect.

    Connect the Phone

Using your phone, navigate to 'Settings > Applications > Development and ensure that the 'USB Debugging' option is selected. Connect the Droid Razr to the PC via USB cable and select 'Charge Only' as the USB connection type. Now, open a command prompt on your PC and type 'adb devices' (exclude the 's). An option should appear in the command prompt listing the Droid Razr. If it does not show up, then the ADB package is not configured correctly.

    Root the Phone

Unzip the ZERGRUSH 2.0 file you downloaded. Double-click on the RUNME.bat file to start the process. Once completed, your phone will reboot and upon restart, you will have root access. You can verify that root access is enabled by running an application such as SuperUser (which should now be installed on the phone).
