How-to Samsung Galaxy Note 7: Block/Unblock Calls & Messages; Manage Call Forwarding, Reset the Call Log

    Block Incoming Calls:

    1. Launch “Phone
    2. Tap “Menu” > “Settings
    3. Tap “Block numbers
    4. Perform one of the following steps:
      • To block a new phone number: enter it and ensure the match criteria is set to “default
      • To block a phone number or contacts from the call log/phonebook: tap “Contacts”, go to “Contacts” or “Recents” and select the phone number you want to block
      • To block unknown callers: enable “Block unknown callers
    Unblock Calls:

    1. Open “Phone
    2. Tap “Menu
    3. Go to “Settings
    4. Access “Block numbers
    5. Tap the “-“ symbol associated with the contact/phone number you want to unblock

    Block Messages:

    1. Open “Messages
    2. Tap “Menu
    3. Go to “Settings” > “Block messages
    4. Tap “Block numbers
    5. Enter the phone number you want to block or tap “+” and select a contact from “Inbox” or “Contacts
    6. Tap “Back” to confirm

    Block Messages from a Phone Number:

    1. Launch “Messages
    2. Tap “Menu” > “Block numbers
    3. Tap “Message block
    4. Set the slider “ON
    5. Tap “OK” to confirm

    Unblock Messages:

    1. Open “Messaging
    2. Tap “Menu
    3. Go to “Settings” > “Block messages
    4. Tap “Block numbers
    5. Tap “-“ next to the phone number you want to unblock
    6. Press “Back” to confirm

    Reset the Call Log:

    1. Launch “Phone
    2. Access the “Recents” tab
    3. Tap “Menu” > “Delete
    4. Select the call log entry you want to remove
    5. Tap “All” > “Delete

    Enable Call Forwarding:

    1. Launch “Phone
    2. Tap “Menu
    3. Go to “Settings” > “More settings
    4. Access “Call forwarding” and select “Always forward
    5. Enter the phone number you want to use for call forwarding
    6. Tap “Turn On

    Enable Conditional Call Forwarding:

    1. Open “Phone
    2. Tap “Menu
    3. Go to “Settings
    4. Access “More settings
    5. Tap “Call forwarding
    6. Select to “Forward when unreachable”, “Forward when busy” or “Forward when unanswered
    7. Enter the phone number you want to use for call forwarding
    8. Tap “Turn On

    Disable Call Forwarding:

    1. Open “Phone
    2. Tap “Menu
    3. Access “Settings
    4. Tap “More settings
    5. Tap “Call forwarding
    6. Select “Always forward” and tap “Turn Off”
