The Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini has been launched on Verizon's network relatively recently, and if you've bought one and you're wondering how you can transfer your iPhone contacts over to the SGS4 Mini, then here's how you do it. Below you will find 4 easy methods of transferring contacts from an iPhone. Pick whichever method you prefer.

Using iTunes to Transfer Contacts From an iPhone:

    1. Open iTunes on your computer. If necessary, visit the Apple website, download and install iTunes
    2. With iTunes launched, connect your iPhone to your computer
    3. In iTunes, your iPhone should appear. Click it to view your device's summary page
    4. Go to the "Info" tab
    5. Mark the "Sync Contacts With" check box. Then, select "Google Contacts" from the drop-down menu
    6. If you haven't done so before, enter your Google account name and password. Otherwise, you can click "Configure" and select a previously added Google account
    7. Click "Apply" and allow iTunes to sync the contacts to your account
    8. On your Galaxy S4 Mini, register with the same Google account, if you haven't done so already. To add a new account, go to "Settings" > "Accounts"
    9. Allow the Google account to sync your contacts

Using iCloud to Transfer Contacts From an iPhone:

Assuming that you have used the iCloud service on your iPhone before, then the contacts should have been already backed up onto your iCloud account. If so, then you can use the iCloud account to transfer these contacts to your Galaxy S4 Mini.

    1. On your computer, use your Internet browser to visit www.icloud.com
    2. Sign in with your iCloud account and go to "Contacts"
    3. From the contacts list, select the ones that you wish to export
    4. Click the button located at the lower-left corner, depicting a cog wheel. Then, select "Export vCard"
    5. This will result in a VCF file containing the contacts. The VCF file will be downloaded to your computer
    6. Once the transfer is complete, import the VCF file to "Google Contacts". Alternatively, skip this step and follow the next one:
    7. Connect your Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini to your computer using the USB cable. Copy the VCF file onto the phone's "/sdcard" directory. Then, open the "Contacts" app, tap the "Menu" key, select "Import / Export" > "From SD card"

Using the "My Contacts Backup" App to Transfer Contacts from an iPhone:

Assuming that you don't wish to use your computer in order to transfer your iPhone contacts to the SGS4 Mini, you can use applications, such as "My Contacts Backup"

    1. On your iPhone, visit the App store and download "My Contacts Backup"
    2. Launch the application and tap "Backup". This will create a VCF file containing your iPhone contacts
    3. When completed, tap "Email" to attach the VCF file to an email
    4. Use your own Gmail address as the recipient for the email containing the VCF attachment, and send it
    5. On your Galaxy S4 Mini, open the email containing the VCF attachment and download it to your phone to import the contacts

Using the "Bump" Application to Transfer Contacts From an iPhone:

Bump is another application that allows you to easily transfer contacts from your iPhone to the SGS4 Mini. NOTE: Bump makes use of cloud technology, so you will need an active Internet connection on both smartphones in order to perform the contact transfer.

    1. On your iPhone, visit the App Store and download the "Bump" app
    2. On your SGS4 Mini, visit the Google Play Store and download "Bump"
    3. Launch bump on both smartphones and allow any permissions if / when prompted
    4. On your iPhone, go to the "contacts" section and select the contacts that you wish to transfer
    5. Once the label "Bump now!" appears in the top-right corner, you can gently bump the two smartphones together
    6. Tap the "Connect" button and allow the transfer to commence
    7. Your iPhone contacts should now be copied over to the Galaxy S4 Mini
