How-to Samsung Galaxy S7: Transfer and Set Custom Ringtones & Notifications

    Transfer Audio Files from a Windows PC:

    1. Establish a USB connection between the Galaxy S7 and PC
    2. On the home screen, drag the “Status” bar down
    3. Tap “Connected as a media device” and enable “Media device (MTP)” if necessary
    4. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
    5. Use the Explorer to locate the desired audio files on the computer
    6. Copy the files and transfer them on the phone storage, preferably in the “Notification” and / or “Ringtones” folder(s)
    7. Once the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord
    Transfer Audio Files from a Mac:

    NOTE: In case Samsung Kies is already installed on your Mac, skip the first 3 steps.

    1. Launch the Internet browser on the Mac
    2. Head down to Kies Support and click “Kies 3 for Mac
    3. Follow the on-screen prompts to download and install Kies on the Mac
    4. Connect the Galaxy S7 to the Mac via USB
    5. If necessary, go to the “Notification” area and enable “Media device (MTP)
    6. Open Kies on the Mac and click the “Folder” icon associated with “Internal memory” or “External memory
    7. Launch the file explorer on the Mac and locate the desired audio files
    8. Drag the files and drop them in Kies
    9. Once the transfer is done, drag the Galaxy S7’s virtual drive from the desktop and into the “trash can” to eject it
    10. Safely disconnect the device from the USB cord
    Add Audio Files to the Ringtone List:

    1. Access the “Settings” menu
    2. Under “Device”, tap “Sounds & notifications
    3. Under “Sound”, tap “Ringtones & sounds
    4. Select “Ringtone” > “Add ringtone
    5. Tap “Sound picker” or “OneDrive” and select to use the app “Always” or “Just once
    6. Select the audio files you want to add and tap “Done
    Change the General Ringtone:

    1. Open the apps drawer
    2. Launch “Settings
    3. Tap “Sounds & notifications” under “Device
    4. Tap “Ringtones & sounds” under “Sound
    5. Tap “Ringtone” and select the ringtone you want to use
    6. Press “Back” to save the changes
    Change the Ringtone of a Specific Contact:

    1. Launch “Contacts
    2. Select the desired contact and tap “Edit
    3. Tap “Ringtone
    4. Select the desired ringtone and tap “OK
    5. Tap “Save
    Change the Notification Sound:

    1. Open the “Settings” menu
    2. Scroll to “Device” and tap “Sounds & Notifications
    3. Tap “Ringtones & Sounds” under “Sounds
    4. Select the desired notification type and choose a notification sound
    5. Tap “Back” to save the changes

    To transfer music files from pc to Samsung Galaxy S7, as I know the easy way is using Android data manager tool. You just need to connect Samsung Galaxy S7 to computer via usb cable, start the tool. A few minutes later, you can import music files to it from computer directly.
