How-to Samsung Galaxy S9: Block/Unblock Calls and Messages, Manage Call Forwarding and the Call Log

    Block Incoming Calls:

    1. Open “Phone
    2. Tap “Menu
    3. Go to “Settings
    4. Tap “Block numbers” and perform one of the steps below:
      • To block a new phone number: enter it and make sure the match criteria is set to “default
      • To block a phone number or contact from the phonebook or call log: go to “Contacts” or “Recents” and select the phone number/contact to block
      • To block unknown callers: enable “block unknown callers
    Unblock Calls:

    1. Launch “Phone
    2. Tap “Menu
    3. Access “Settings” > “Block numbers
    4. Tap the “-“ symbol associated with the phone number/contact you want to unblock

    Block Messages:

    1. Open “Messages
    2. Tap “Menu” > “Settings
    3. Go to “Block messages
    4. Tap “Block numbers
    5. Enter the phone number you want to block or tap “+” and select a contact from “Contacts” or “Inbox
    6. Tap “Back” to confirm

    Block Messages from a Phone Number:

    1. Open “Messages
    2. Tap “Menu
    3. Go to “Block numbers” > “Message block
    4. Set the slider “ON” and tap “OK

    Unblock Messages:

    1. Launch “Messaging
    2. Tap “Menu” > “Settings
    3. Go to “Block messages
    4. Tap “Block numbers
    5. Tap “-“ associated with the phone number you wish to unblock
    6. Press “Back

    Clear the Call Log:

    1. Open “Phone
    2. Go to “Recents
    3. Tap “Menu” > “Delete
    4. Select the call log entry you want to remove
    5. Tap “All” > “Delete

    Enable Call Forwarding:

    1. Open “Phone
    2. Tap “Menu
    3. Access “Settings” > “More settings
    4. Go to “Call forwarding
    5. Select “Always forward” and enter the phone number you want to use for call forwarding
    6. Tap “Turn ON

    Enable Conditional Call Forwarding:

    1. Launch “Phone
    2. Tap “Menu
    3. Access “Settings” > “more settings
    4. Go to “Call forwarding
    5. Select to “Forward when busy”, “Forward when unreachable” or “Forward when unanswered
    6. Enter the phone number you want to use for call forwarding or select a contact from the phonebook
    7. Tap “Turn on

    Disable Call Forwarding:

    1. Launch “Phone
    2. Tap “Menu
    3. Go to “Settings” > “More settings
    4. Tap “Call forwarding
    5. Select “Always forward” and tap “Turn OFF
