How-to Samsung Galaxy S9: Create and Manage Contacts and Caller Groups

    Create a Contact:

    1. Launch “Contacts
    2. Tap “+
    3. Select to store the contact on “Phone”, “SIM card” or to sync it with “Google
    4. Add the contact’s name, phone number, and other details in the appropriate fields
    5. Tap “Save” to confirm

    Import/Export Contacts:

    1. Open “Contacts
    2. Tap “Menu” > “Settings
    3. Go to “Manage contacts” > “Move contacts from phone…
    4. Select an account to use for syncing and tap “Move
    5. Tap “Import/Export contacts
    6. Follow one of the steps below:
      • To import contacts: tap “Import” > “SD Card” and select the desired contacts, then tap “Internal storage” > “Done” > “Import” > “OK
      • To export contacts: tap “Export” > “SD Card” and select the desired contact, then tap “Done” > “Export” > “OK
    Assign Contacts to Speed Dial:

    1. Launch “Phone
    2. Access “Contacts
    3. Tap “Menu” > “Speed dial
    4. Select the dial pad number you want to use
    5. Tap the contact you want to associate with the dial pad number
    6. Press “Back

    Delete Contacts:

    1. Launch “Contacts
    2. Select the desired contact
    3. Tap “Menu
    4. Tap “Delete” twice to confirm

    Create a Caller Group:

    1. Open “Contacts
    2. Tap “Menu” > “Groups
    3. Tap “Create
    4. Enter the desired name for the group and optionally, select a group ringtone
    5. Tap “Save

    Add Contacts to an Existing Caller Group:

    1. Launch “Contacts
    2. Tap the contact you want to associate with the group
    3. Tap “Details” > “Edit
    4. Access “Groups
    5. Tick the check box associated with the desired caller group
    6. Tap “Back” > “Save
