How-to Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus: Block/Unblock Calls & Messages, Manage Call Forwarding and the Call Log

    Block Incoming Calls:

    1. Launch “Phone
    2. Tap “Menu” > “Settings
    3. Go to “Block numbers” and follow one of the steps below:
      • To block a new phone number: enter it and ensure the match criteria is set to “default
      • To block a phone number or contact from the phonebook or call log: access “Recents” or “Contacts” and select the phone number/contact to block
      • To block unknown callers: enable “block unknown callers
    Unblock Calls:

    1. Open “Phone
    2. Tap “Menu’ > “Settings
    3. Go to “Block numbers
    4. Tap the “-“ symbol next to the phone number/contact you want to unblock

    Block Messages:

    1. Launch “Messages
    2. Tap “Menu
    3. Go to “Settings” > “Block messages
    4. Tap “Block numbers
    5. Enter the phone number you want to block or tap “+” and select a contact from “Inbox” or “Contacts
    6. Press “Back

    Unblock Messages from a Phone Number:

    1. Launch “Messages
    2. Tap “Menu
    3. Access “Block numbers
    4. Tap “Message block
    5. Set the slider to “ON” and tap “OK” to confirm

    Unblock Messages:

    1. Launch “Messages
    2. Tap “Menu
    3. Go to “Settings” > “Block messages
    4. Tap “Block numbers
    5. Tap the “-“ symbol associated with the phone number you want to unblock
    6. Tap “Back” to confirm

    Clear the Call Log:

    1. Launch “Phone” and go to “Recents
    2. Tap “Menu
    3. Tap “Delete
    4. Select the call log entry you want to remove or tap “All
    5. Tap “Delete

    Enable Call Forwarding:

    1. Launch “Phone
    2. Tap “Menu” and go to “Settings
    3. Tap “More settings
    4. Access “Call forwarding
    5. Select “Always forward
    6. Enter the phone number you want to use for call forwarding
    7. Tap “Turn ON

    Enable Conditional Call Forwarding:

    1. Open “Phone
    2. Tap “Menu
    3. Go to “Settings
    4. Tap “More settings
    5. Access “Call forwarding
    6. Select to “Forward when unreachable”, “Forward when busy” or “Forward when unanswered
    7. Enter the phone number you want to use for call forwarding or select an existing contact
    8. Tap “Turn On

    Disable Call Forwarding:

    1. Open “Phone
    2. Tap “Menu” > “Settings
    3. Go to “More settings
    4. Tap “Call forwarding
    5. Select “Always forward
    6. Tap “Turn Off
