How-to Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus: Transfer Audio Files from a PC and Change Ringtones & Notifications

    Transfer Audio Files from a PC:

    1. Establish a USB connection between the Android phone and computer
    2. On the phone, enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” when prompted or from the Notification area
    3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the audio files on the computer
    5. Copy and transfer the files to the phone storage, preferably in the “Notifications” or “Ringtones” directories
    6. After the transfer ends, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB port

    Change the General Ringtone:

    1. Launch “Settings
    2. Access “Sound and vibration
    3. Tap “ringtone
    4. Select the desired ringtone
    5. Press “Back” to confirm

    Change the Ringtone of a Specific Contact:

    1. Open “Contacts
    2. Select the desired contact
    3. Go to “Details
    4. Tap “Edit” > “More” > “Ringtone
    5. Tap “Allow storage permissions” and set the option to “Allow
    6. Select the desired ringtone and tap “OK” > “Back

    Change Incoming Email Notification Settings:

    1. Open “Email
    2. Tap “Menu” > “Settings
    3. Go to “Manage accounts
    4. Select your email address and access “Notification settings
    5. Tap “Email notifications
    6. Tick or clear the desired check boxes
    7. Enable or disable “Vibrate” and “Notification sound

    Change Emergency Alert Settings:

    1. Open “Messages
    2. Tap “Menu” > “Settings
    3. Access “Emergency alert settings
    4. Tap “Emergency alerts
    5. Enable or disable “Imminent severe alerts”, “Imminent extreme alerts” and “AMBER alerts
