    Reset Network Settings:

NOTE: By resetting network settings, all saved Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connections will be deleted, and data restrictive settings, background sync settings, and network selection mode will be switched to default.

    1. Launch “Settings
    2. Access “General Management
    3. Tap “Reset” > “Reset network settings
    4. If your device is protected by a lock screen, enter your PIN / password etc.
    5. Tap “Reset settings” to confirm

    Soft Reset via Hardware Settings:

NOTE: A soft reset simulates removing the battery and this can come useful in cases where the device might be unresponsive. A soft reset will not result in the deletion of personal data.

    1. Press and hold “Power” and “Volume Down” at the same time
    2. Keep the buttons pressed for up to 45 seconds
    3. Release the buttons once the device finishes rebooting

    Hard Reset

NOTE: Hard resetting the phone will result in the deletion of all your personal data located on the device’s internal memory, including media files, ringtones, downloaded content, contacts, apps etc. In addition, all settings will be restored to factory values, however, data on the SIM and SD cards won’t be affected.

You can visit this thread for a guide on how to back up data before resetting the phone, and this thread for instructions on how to restore data.

    Hard Reset via Settings:

    1. Go to “Settings
    2. Tap “Cloud and accounts
    3. Go to “Backup and restore
    4. Optionally, turn “Back up my data” and “Restore” ON or OFF
    5. Return to “Settings” and go to “General Management
    6. Tap “Reset” > “Factory data reset
    7. Tap “Reset device
    8. If necessary, enter your lockscreen PIN/password to proceed
    9. When ready, tap “Continue” > “Delete all

    Hard Reset via Recovery:

NOTE: If your phone crashes, freezes, or otherwise it prevents you from resetting it via Settings, alternatively you can try resetting the phone from the Recovery menu which can be accessed by performing the following:

    1. Turn the device OFF
    2. Press and hold “Volume Up” and “Home” simultaneously and then press and hold “Power” as well
    3. At the “Android” logo release all the buttons and you should gain access to Recovery
    4. Once in Recovery, press “Volume down” repeatedly to navigate the menu and highlight “wipe data / factory reset
    5. Press “power” to select the highlighted option
    6. Press “Volume down” to highlight “Yes – delete all user data” and press “Power
    7. Once the phone resets, highlight “Reboot system now” and press “Power
