Should I Make A Move Now, Or Wait For The New Year?

Discussion in 'alt.cellular.verizon' started by A Student of Cornell University, Dec 22, 2003.

  1. I just paid my Sprint PCS bill. My contract expired a while back, but
my service is paid for until late January. I want to switch over to
Verizon, to take advantage of a new phone. I'm looking at the
Audiovox CDM8600. Should I make a move now to take advantage of the
$50 mail in rebate which expires in a week, or do you think I should
wait until the new promotional offers starting Jan 1?

That Audiovox 8600 has terrible sound quality. When using a headset it's a
little better. When talking with the phone directly, it sounds like the
person you are talking to is in a tin can or some thing. The other person
can hear you fine, but the sound quality that the 8600 user gets is
    horrible.

All current rebates are running through January in South market. Most
likely will be for your area too.

The Chicago area 4400 rebate says you have to buy by December 31.

As do all of the rebates I have here but all are extended until January 31.
New rebate forms will be released.
