How-to Sony Xperia Z3V: Transfer and Set Custom Ringtones & Notification Sounds

    Transferring Audio Files from a Windows PC:

    1. Connect your Xperia Z3V to your computer via USB
    2. From the AutoPlay window that should appear on your computer, click to browse the phone's files and folders
    3. Access the phone's "Internal storage" directory
    4. Go to the "Music" and / or "Notifications" folder
    5. Open a second Windows Explorer window and navigate to the desired audio files stored on your computer's HDD
    6. Copy the files and transfer them to your phone's "Music" or "Notifications" folders
    7. After the transfer is done, click the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon located in the system tray
    8. Click "Safely Remove Mass Storage Device" > "OK"
    9. Safely disconnect your smartphone from the USB connector

    Changing the Phone's Ringtone:

    1. Make sure you have transferred the desired audio files in the "Music" folder
    2. While viewing the home screen, tap "Apps"
    3. Go to "Settings" and scroll to "Device"
    4. Tap "Sound"
    5. Under "Ringtone & Vibration", tap "Phone ringtone"
    6. Tap the "Music" icon located in the top-right corner
    7. Navigate to and select the audio file you wish to set as your phone's ringtone
    8. Tap "Done"

    Changing the Ringtone for One Contact:

    NOTE: You can't set custom ringtones to contacts stored on the SIM card or Phone

    1. Ensure that the desired audio files have been transferred to the "Music" folder
    2. Tap the "Phone" icon while viewing the home screen
    3. Access the "Contacts" tab from the upper-left corner of the screen
    4. Select the contact you wish to edit
    5. Tap the "Edit contact" icon located in the upper-right area of the screen
    6. Swipe to and tap the "Ringtone" drop-down menu
    7. Tap the "Music" icon located in the top-right corner and then select the file you wish to use as a contact ringtone
    8. Tap "Done" to save the changes

    Change the Notification Sound:

    1. Make sure the desired audio files have been copied in the "Notifications" folder
    2. Tap "Apps" while viewing the home screen
    3. Go to "Settings" and swipe to "Device"
    4. Tap "Sound"
    5. Go to "System" and tap "Default notification sound"
    6. Select the audio file you wish to use for notification sounds. NOTE: newly transferred files should be listed at the bottom
    7. Tap "Done"

    Nice sharing. To transfer music from pc to Sony Xperia Z3V, my suggestion is Android data manager tool. With its help, we can import music files from pc to Sony Xperia Z3V directly.
