Note: If you haven't done so, download the LG PC drivers, located here. (Windows Only)

    1. Plug in the enV touch to your PC using the supplied USB cable.
    2. Go to Settings and Tools -> Tools -> USB Mass Storage. Your microSD card should appear in My Computer; no need for an adapter.
    3. Navigate to your SD card, then access your "my_sounds" folder.
    4. Add your custom ringtones. The perfect ringtone lasts 25 to 30 seconds, in 44100hz @ 128kbps MP3 format.
    5. End the sync using your phone.
    6. Navigate to Media Center -> Music and Tones -> My Sounds on the phone.
    7. Choose the ringtone, Set As -> Ringtone (or Contact ID for someone).

Call your cell, with the ringtone set... you should hear your custom tone. Enjoy.

Well, there isn't any software update yet (check the version of the software "Settings -> Info -> SW/HW version"... SW version has 03 at the end). It works for me. Or better yet, you could use a different Verizon phone and BitPim, & transfer the ringtones over via Bluetooth. I did that with my phone from my wife's.

V04? I was never informed. Why couldn't you just manually update it from the software? Stupid Verizon, lol.

This technique worked great and not only for MP3's but WAV files also.

Send the sound to yourself. When it comes in, select "save as ringtone" and your done.
I used to do this with my original enV.

Thanks. Good, clear instructions in lucid English with no spelling or grammar errors. Better still they work!
