Share iPhone Contacts with Google Using iTunes:

NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer with an active Internet connection, you can sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. Afterwards you can sync the account data, including contacts, with the Moto G5 Plus.

    1. Connect the iPhone to your computer via USB, using the Lightning cable
    2. Launch iTunes on the computer
    3. Go to the “Info” section and enable “Sync Contacts With
    4. Select “Google Contacts” from the drop-down menu
    5. Sign in with your Google account, or click “Configure” and select an existing account
    6. Click “Apply” to start the sync
    7. Once the sync is complete, switch to the Motorola device and register the same Google account used in iTunes
    8. Allow the account to sync contacts with your Android device

Share iPhone Contacts via iCloud Backup:

NOTE: If your iPhone contacts have been previously backed up to your iCloud account, you can access the account on a computer connected to the Internet, and export the contacts in vCard format for Android use.

    1. Launch the Internet browser on the computer
    2. Visit https://www.icloud.com/
    3. Sign in with your iCloud account and access “Contacts
    4. Select the desired contacts and click “Settings” > “Export vCard
    5. Once the vCard has been downloaded on the computer, follow one of the steps below:
      • Open the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to “Google Contacts”, or:
      • Connect the Moto G5 Plus to your computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage, and import it to your phonebook using “Contacts
    Using “My Contacts Backup”:

NOTE: Although the two methods above require a computer with an active Internet connection, alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts using third party applications such as My Contacts Backup. This iOS third party app can back up and share iPhone contacts via email.

    1. Go to the App Store and install “Send Anywhere” on the iPhone
    2. Launch the app and tap “Backup” to create a vCard backup file of your iPhone contacts
    3. After the vCard is done, tap “Email” to create a new email
    4. Ensure the vCard is attached to the email
    5. Send the email and attachment to your own email address
    6. Switch to the Moto G5 Plus and open the email
    7. Download the vCard attachment on the Moto device and import it to your phonebook via “Contacts

    Using “Send Anywhere”:

NOTE: Another third party app you can use is Send Anywhere, available on iOS and Android. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to share various file types, including contacts, cross-platform without requiring a computer.

    1. Go to the App Store and install “Send Anywhere” on the iPhone
    2. Launch the Google Play Store and install the same app on the Moto G5 Plus
    3. Open the app on both smartphones
    4. On the iPhone, tap “Send” > “Contacts
    5. Select the desired contacts and tap “Send
    6. Lastly, choose the desired transfer method on one of the phones, and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
