How-to Transfer iPhone Contacts to a Motorola Moto G6

    Share iPhone Contacts using iTunes:

    NOTE: You can use iTunes on a computer with Internet access to sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. Then you can sync the account data and contacts with the Android device.

    1. Connect the iPhone to the computer via USB
    2. Launch iTunes on the PC
    3. In iTunes, click the iPhone and go to “Info
    4. Enable “Sync Contacts With
    5. Select “Google contacts” from the drop-down menu
    6. Sign in with your Google account or click “Configure” and select an existing account if available
    7. Click “Apply” to begin the sync
    8. Once done, switch to the Android phone and log in with the same account used in iTunes
    9. Allow the account to sync contacts with the Android device

    Share iPhone Contacts via iCloud:

    NOTE: If your iPhone contacts are backed up on your iCloud account, you can sign in with the account on a computer connected to the Internet and export the contacts in a vCard file for Android use.

    1. Launch the Internet browser on the computer
    2. Visit https://www.icloud.com/
    3. Log in with your iCloud account and go to “Contacts
    4. Select the contacts you want to share
    5. Click “Settings” > “Export vCard
    6. Once the vCard is downloaded, follow one of these steps:
      • Launch the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to your phonebook via “Google Contacts” or:
      • Connect the Android device to the computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and import its contents your phonebook via “Contacts
    Using My Contacts Backup:

    NOTE: Although the methods above require a computer with Internet access, alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts via third-party applications. My Contacts Backup is an iOS third-party app that can back up and share iPhone contacts via email.

    1. Install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone from the App Store
    2. Open the app and tap “Backup” to create a vCard of your iPhone contacts
    3. Then, compose a new email and make sure the vCard is attached
    4. Send the vCard attachment to your own email address
    5. On the Android device, open the email and download the vCard
    6. Import the vCard to your phonebook via “Contacts

    Using Send Anywhere:

    NOTE: Send Anywhere is another third-party app you can use on Android and iOS. The app uses a peer-to-peer connection to share contacts and other file types without access to a computer.

    1. Visit the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
    2. Go to the Play Store and install the app on the Android device
    3. Open the app on both phones
    4. On the iPhone, tap “Send” > “Contacts
    5. Select the desired contacts then tap “Send
    6. Finally select a transfer method on one of the devices and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
