Have you just purchased a brand new LG Lucid 2 and want to transfer your contacts to it? Then look no further as this tutorial will teach you how to transfer your contacts from an iPhone to your new smartphone!

    Syncing Your Contacts

First of all you have to sync your contacts with Google Contacts, so in case you don’t have a Google Account created just yet, sign up and then we’re good to go.

Now that you have your Gmail account created, it will be very easy to move your contacts to pretty much any platform, so here you’ll find a simple way to export your iPhone contacts to the Google Account:

    1. Connect your iPhone to your computer using the USB cable.
    2. Then open iTunes.
    3. While in iTunes, select your iPhone.
    4. Then under the Info tab, select to Sync Contacts with Google Contacts.
    5. This will prompt you to enter your Gmail information, so in the designated fields enter your Username and Password.
    6. Wait for the both accounts to sync.
    7. After the syncing is complete, go to gmail.com and log in to your account.
    8. Then you just have to select Gmail -> click Contacts. You’ll then be able to check if all your contacts have been synced successfully.

Another way to transfer your contacts to a Google Account (and then transfer them to the LG Lucid 2) is by using iCloud.
If you use to back up your information on iCloud, follow the next steps:

    1. Go to iCould.com and log in to your account.
    2. Then click on Contacts. This will show you all the iPhone Contacts that you backed up on iCloud.
    3. To select all the contacts press Ctrl +A -> then click the Settings icon located at the bottom left side of the screen -> select Export to vCard…
    4. Next you just have to log in to your Gmail Account.
    5. Then click Gmail -> select Contacts -> and click Import Contacts…
    6. An alert will then prompt -> click Import and then import your contacts using the vCard.

    Managing Your Duplicate Contacts

Just imported your iPhone contacts and noticed there are a few duplicates? Don’t worry! You’ll be able to merge them on the computer, so you won’t have to manually do it on the smartphone.

    1. Open your Gmail account and click Contacts.
    2. Then click More and select Find & merge duplicates…
    3. A page with the duplicate names will show up -> select those you’d like to merge and then click Merge.

    Restoring Your Contacts on Android

Now that your contacts have been successfully exported/synced to your Google Account and you merged the duplicates, it’s time to restore them on your LG Lucid 2.

    1. From the Home screen, tap Email.
    2. Then select Other and enter your Gmail address.
    3. Tap Next and enter your password -> tap Next.
    4. Enter a name for your account if you want.
    5. When finished, tap Done.
    6. Now wait for a while until the communications with Google Servers are done -> you’ll then see a new page where you’re given options to sync your contacts -> tap to Sync them -> then tap Finish.
    7. Wait up to a few minutes until the Google account is synced with your LG Lucid 2.
    8. Then check your phone book to see if your contacts have been successfully synced.
    9. And that’s pretty much everything there is to it! The great thing about having your contacts synced with a Google Account is that they will always be backed up, even if you lose your smartphone for example.
