Verizon Wireless must have big plans for the Motorola Zoom that was just announced last week at CES 2011. According to DigiTimes, Verizon has ordered between 700,000 to 800,000 Motorola Xoom Android 3.0 Honeycomb tablets for this quarter.

It's being questioned if Verizon will be able to sell all these tablets this quarter, since the Samsung Galaxy Tab Android Froyo tablet is already available and has already sold around 1 million units already.

Another reason why we are unsure if Verizon will sell all these units this quarter is because the Motorola Xoom may not be available until March, which doesn't really give Verizon much time to sell the number that was ordered.

Verizon may have better luck in selling close to a million in the second quarter.
